You will need:
1 cup mochiko
1/4 cup sugar
2/3 cup water
corn starch or potato starch
desired filling (anko, raspberries, other fruit pieces, peanut butter, chocolate chips, etc.)

WASH YOUR HANDS. Combine the mochiko, sugar and water in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for two minutes. Remove and stir as best you can. Put back in the microwave and cook for two more minutes or until the dough inflates. Remove it from the microwave and let it cool enough to handle. Liberally cover your working surface (such as a large plate or counter) with the starch and dump the mochi onto the surface. Cover your hands in starch and tear a small ball of mochi from the lump. Flatten into a disc, add your filling in the middle, and pinch close. Roll into a ball. Repeat until you use all the mochi.

WASH YOUR HANDS. Mix everything just enough to combine or the dorayaki will become tough. Heat your pan on medium-low, pancake heat, oil your pan if needed and pour 4'' circles of batter in it. Cook until the top of the circle bubbles. Flip and cook until golden. Let cool. Sandwich anko between two dorayaki and eat. If you don't want to use anko, peanut butter or nutella can be used instead.

Info: 8/19/08

It's been a month since my last update! Lazy, huh? I have three new recipes to post. They're super easy noodle dishes. I can't do much more than that with this whiplash and all :T

I lost the USB cord to my camera! But the one for my mp3 player works just the same. Okay? Other lame news: the Filipino store discontinued kanten sticks so I'll have to mail-order them :[

Mitarashi dango has been added and anko has been updated with pictures.

Today I slept all day. It was awesome. Tomorrow I'm going to the Filipino store after visiting the doctor and I'll post some new recipes and pictures.

PS: I make kare pan but didn't take pictures. HOMG IT WAS DELICIOUS and you missed it! Actually, it was not. I burnt the curry. The dinners I make myself are sad sometimes :[

Every grocery in existence is useless! -sob I have to make my own curry sob-

Onigiri updated and a FAQ post made. I have to work today and tomorrow and the Filipino store won't be open until Monday. Lame :C
